Your Guide to the Morning After a Night on Duval Street

Sometimes a night out on Duval Street is so much fun that you’re left feeling less than 50 percent of yourself the following morning. Of course you want to seize each moment of your vacation, but, alas, night sacrifices day.

Feeling under the weather? Here’s a guide to recovery.

Eat it off

Fill up on a greasy spoon breakfast to soak up yesterday’s rash decisions. Harpoon Harry’s at 832 Caroline St. serves breakfast until 3 pm, so chances are you’ll make it on time. Or, head to Ana’s Cuban Café near the Southernmost Point Buoy for “The Hangover” breakfast platter, served until 3 pm. Finally, if you’re going the hair-of-the-dog route, Schooner’s Wharf Bar on the Key West Bight has three happy hours throughout the day, including specials on mimosas and bloody marys. You're bound to catch one!

Duval Crawl Cure All

The folks at IVs in the Keys offer a Duval Crawl Cure All treatment at their wellness spa at 531 Whitehead St. for those feeling crummy in paradise. Opt for the specific rehydration treatment or an array of boosters, like nutrient drinks, vitamin B12 infusions, electrolyte infusions and more.

Hangover Hospital

If you’re not alone in experiencing the after-effects of Duval Street, the local Hangover Hospital makes house calls – or hotel calls, boathouse calls, you name it. They offer hangover cures based on the severity of your condition with vitamin cocktails, oxygen therapy, IVs, electrolyte boosts and more. Give them a call at 305-912-4911.

Stay in for some R&R

If you wanted a day to relax by the pool, today’s the day. Enjoy 24 North Hotel’s outdoor oasis. You don’t have to go far for food – the Toasted Coconut restaurant is open 8 am to 9 pm daily, and our onsite Starbucks serves herbal teas, coffee and juice all day. Sip on a mimosa from Toasted Coconut for vitamin C and work on soaking up vitamin D by the pool. It's about all you can do.

Take it slow

Maybe a walk through the butterfly garden at the nature conservatory or a movie at the Tropic Cinema is in order. Try enjoying the quiet side of Key West. Check out our suggestions on how to make the most of a lazy day in Key West.
