Your Key West Cigar Guide

Key West’s proximity to Cuba makes it only natural that cigars are a longtime diversion on the island. Whether you’re a stogie novice or aficionado, shopping, smoking or sampling, here’s a guide to the cigar scene in Key West.

Smoke

Did you know there’s a cigar lounge just steps away from 24 North? That’s right. Complete with a humidor, The Rodriguez Cigar Lounge at the Gates Hotel features a selection of local Rodriguez Cigars, gifts, humidors and accessories. Guests can enjoy a cigar at the outdoor garden lounge. We also recommend Cork & Stogie, a cigar, craft brew and wine bar located at the quiet end of Duval Street. The bar features a small humidor and an excellent porch to enjoy your stogie and people watch.

Shop

The Key West Cigar Club & Smoke Shop at 335 Duval Street is a great stop for people new to cigars or for stogie devotees. They feature a special selection of cigars that are freshly rolled and properly stored, with couches and window seats for guests to enjoy. The Greene Street Cigar Company at 540 Greene Street also boasts a wide selection of cigars. Stop in, have a beer and maybe play a game of Dominoes before perusing the cigar selection.

See

Interested in visiting a legit, Cuban cigar factory? Curious to see the whole process? Look no further than Key West mainstay, Rodriguez Cigar Factory. The Rodriguez family has a long history crafting cigars, starting in 1947 with Ángel and Daniela Rodriguez’s tobacco plantation in Cuba. In 1984, they opened up shop in Key West, producing cigars made with vintage leaves that have been cured, aged and rolled using traditional methods of Cuban manufacturing. The family business continues today, streered by Danny DiFabio. Make sure to stop by the Rodriguez Cigar Factory to book a tour, or purchase their world-renowned cigars. Talk with our front desk to arrange your visit or visit the Rodriguez website. The Rodriguez Cigar Factory is located near Mallory Square at 113 Fitzpatrick St., right next to the long-time KW business Kino Sandals.
