Book Ahead for 2018 Key West Pride Week!

Pride Week is just around the corner, and thousands are expected to come and to be part of the “One Human Family” that is the Key West community.

Running June 6-10, Key West Pride has the event calendar set for visitors to plan what special events they want to attend, from the Miss, Ms. or Mr. Pride competition, theatre performances, pool parties, drag shows, water activities and of course, the Pride Parade.

Starting June 6, variations of the Miss/Ms/Mister Key West Pride pageant-style competition will crown the winner of the determined category in the iconic island drag bar, 801 Bourbon Bar. For theatre fans, make sure to check out “Gross Indecency - the Three Trials of Oscar Wilde” at the Waterfront Playhouse June 8-9 at 6 pm. The play deals with the downfall of the famous author in the 1890s amid his “gross and indecent” affair with Lord Alfred “Bosie” Douglas. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the ticket office.

Other events include a Glow Party at the Aqua Sidebar with American Idol contestant Les Green and his band Patrick and the Swayzees; a Naked Pool Party at Island House Key West; Purgatory Party at Bourbon Street Pub; and Pride Readings at the Key West Theater.

The most notable events of the festival include the Key West Pride Street Fair which will be held on Saturday, June 9 on Duval Street.

The Pride Parade is set for 5 pm on Sunday, so make sure to stay until the last day to enjoy the best part of Pride Week.
