Although Key West only covers 7 square miles, it seems like every inch of Old Town is covered in New Year's Eve festivities. From drag queens to parrotheads, there's a party for just about everybody, as the island's myriad of NYE celebrations cater to a wide range of personalities, much like Key West itself. No matter which you choose, you can count on a good time. That said, here are some of the most popular events year after year.
The new Starbucks inside 24 North Hotel couldn’t have opened at a better time. Not only is it the best weather of the entire year in Key West, but it’s also the start of the holiday season, which means the Starbucks holiday beverages. Now we get to enjoy the warm sunshine and cool island breeze – and we get to enjoy it with an Eggnog Latte in one hand and a sugar cookie in the other, a Gingerbread Latte tomorrow, and maybe even a Peppermint Mocha at night. With a Starbucks downstairs, we can get one whenever we want – and so can you.
On November 4, 2016, 24 North Hotel is turning 1.
It’s hard to believe. Has it already been a year? Looking back we’ve come a long way. In fact, we’ve grown so much since November, you probably wouldn’t even recognize us from a year ago. After all, we did have some major work done – major renovations, that is.
Key West is filled with ghost stories. From lingering lovers to ghastly murders, the island is not without its share of haunted history. While ghost-hunters say these supernatural phenomenon can be seen year-round, we especially like to call forth the Halloween spirit in the month of October.
